JUB EWI Render Finishes

Render Finishesrender finish

The final coat of an external wall insulation system is usually one of the pre-mixed, through colour decorative renders. The Jubizol renders are very durable, UV stable and flexible providing a low-Maintenance solution compared to mineral renders. In coastal regions it is recommended to use silicone render. There is an extensive range of colours available in the Acrylic, Silicone and Silicate renders together with different grain sizes and textures. These products can be hand or spray applied.

In the Jubizol range if finishes of mineral or scratch render is required it is only available in white and requires an Akril Emulsion primer to be used. If you require a colour other than white then these can be painted with a silicone paint to any colour within the Jub range.

NANOXIL is a thin-coat high quality self-cleaning render, whose key components are nanoxilmade in accordance with the latest discoveries in nanotechnologies. Due to a high level of silicone binders and siloxane additives, façade surfaces treated with NANOSIL are more resistant to dust, soot and dirt. Self-cleaning effect is therefore achieved on places exposed to precipitation. The render adheres well to all types of fine-coarse construction surfaces and base renders of façade thermal insulating systems.

Product features

  • It is made on the basis of latest discoveries in nanotechnologies
  • It is more difficult for dust, soot, and other filth to adhere to it due to high content of silicone binders and siloxaned supplements
  • Highly resistant on façade surfaces extremely exposed to precipitation – extremely high resistance to effects of smoke, ultraviolet radiation, and other atmospheric factors;
  • Long-term resistance to infection with wall algae and mould

NANOXIL is available in a wide range of colour shades; 78 shades from the JUB colour chart.

UNIXIL Siloxaned acrylic smooth render Siloxane Acrylic Smooth Render UNIXIL is a thin-unixilcoat render made on the basis of polymeric binders, with selected ratios between fine and course filling materials and a combination of modern thickeners, moisteners and siloxane additives. It has a typical evenly grained surface. This render provides decorative protection to façade wall surfaces of all types of buildings including multi-storey buildings with small projecting roofs. Due to relatively high water-vapour permeability, which is typical for acrylic renders, it may also be applied as the final render in contact façade thermal insulating systems based on mineral wool.

Product features

  • The render is distinguished by easy application and low toughness due to the selected ratio between fine and rough sand fillings
  • Longer treatment time
  • High water repellency and strength
  • High resistance to atmospheric loads
  • Relatively high water vapour permeability
  • Suitable as render finish on contact façade thermal insulation systems made on mineral wool
  • Long-term resistance to infection with wall algae and mould

Unixil Winter Gradeunixil-winter-grade

Unixil is also available in a winter grade for use in temperature from 1deg C to 15 deg C and up to 95% humidity.

MINEROL is a thin-coat render which requires painting.minerol

Minerol is a water-repellent thin-coat decorative render finish made with white cement, hydrated lime, mineral fillers and other supplements. Thin-coat render with typical structure of spray renders for applying with little mill and by spraying.

Silicone Troweled/Smooth Rendersilicone

These exterior waterborne ready-to-use silicone renders can be rubbed in horizontal, vertical or circular direction until the desired furrowed and heavily grooved surface or smooth scraped surface is achieved. They are intended for the protection and decoration of the usual exterior and interior wall surfaces. These are a durable textured coating which provide an excellent weather and ageing resistance, resistance to the low and increased temperature and good resistance in industrial and sea areas. They are free of ecologically harmful ingredients, mildew and algae resistant and water repellent, they have good water vapour permeability. These renders are ideal finish coatings for thermal insulation systems. Colour Range: white, different shades on the colour chart PAINTS AND PLASTERS (JUMIX System).

Silicate Troweled/Smooth Rendersilicate

ACRYLIC decorative renders are pasty, ready-to-use renders, intended for decorative acryl-finishprotection of façade surfaces, especially of thermal-insulation systems (JUBIZOL façade). ACRYLIC TROWELED RENDER (2 granulations: 2,0 and 2,5 mm) has – depending on the method of toweling (horizontally, circularly or vertically) – distinctively grooved surface, similar to the oak bark.

ACRYLIC SMOOTH RENDER (4 granulations: 1,0; 1,5; 2,0 and 2,5 mm) has – depending on the granulation- equally smooth structure, which slightly reminds of fine-grain structure of scratch plaster

TREND – The Science behind Heat Reflective Render trend-tub

To gain a truly dark coloured render has always been difficult due to the higher absorption of solar radiation and therefore the excessive warming up of the surface. Naturally the darker the colour the more absorption that will occur and with renders this can lead to thermal cracking, fading and a quickening of the aging process.

Infrared Reflexion is based upon the ability to reflect different parts of the light spectrum selectively. The light absorbed by the surface is electromagnetic radiation and is made up of Ultra Violet radiation, visible light and the invisible infrared radiation. The latter of these represents 53% of all solar radiation on the surface of the planet. As the name implies, IR Reflexion has the ability to reflect the infrared part of the light spectrum and by doing so can have a 40% higher Total Solar Reflectance meaning the surface will not warm up as much.

How does this change External Wall Insulation and Renders?

All renders have a light intensity factor, which determines the depth of colour with pure black being at 1 and pure white at 100. With External Wall Insulation systems it has been generally said that you would not use a render with a light intensity factor of below 25, as the thermal gain onto insulation would cause a breakdown in the finish.

With TREND all this has changed.

TREND development has been a breakthrough in the tinting process which incorporates the new technology of IR Reflexion into one of our topcoat renders. This now enables the specification of renders with a light intensity down to 5 with an External Wall Insulation system and with the knowledge that the long-term performance and general product cost is not affected. With the tangible benefits IR Reflexion, which can reduce the surface temperature of the render by 15 degrees Celsius, there are no more barriers to using dark renders.

The TREND topcoat and can be used on all types of buildings including large areas, south facing facades and will not require any form of paint coat to gain a consistent finish.

DASH RENDER

Jubizol Dashing Render is traditional looking dry dash aggregate onto a high quality Dash Renderthrough coloured dash render receiver.  For application onto the Jubizol External Wall Insulation Systems or for use as a render only system

Jubizol Flexible Brickslip Brickslip is an acrylic brick veneer that enhances the external qualities of any building. Brickslip veneers can be easily cut using just a pair of scissors and can be installed using an adhesive mortar.

Because Brickslip is lightweight and flexible, there is virtually no limit to where it can be applied. Here are just a few benefits.

  • Apply to curved or uneven surfaces
  • Weighs about 1lb. per sq. ft.
  • Cut with scissors
  • Brick Thickness: 1/8”
  • Resistant to mechanical stress and building movement

Composed of 92% specially mixed quartz sands, bonded with a poly-acrylic binder, these materials are UV resistant and coloured throughout the entire brick, preventing any fading.
